Doesn't look so positive for me because of the significant higher power consumption of the Broadwell iGPU. It seems there are almost no power efficiency gains going from 22nm to 14nm.

Poor excuses. AVX512 will be irrelevant to consumers. Even if it's supported by Non-Xeons it won't be used by >99% of all apps in the coming years. It also won't boost performance if Skylake still...

To say GTX 980 Ti is the safer bet is nonsense, IMO. Fury X is the faster card for 4K, has the more advanced architecture (bindless, async shaders), has more computing abilities, will gain more under...

I meant it is a tie in general, not at a specific resolution. Fury X is a little slower at 1080p (who cares with such a card?), about the same at 1440p/1600p and a little faster at 2160p. Higher...

And I was pointing out that DX11 performance is irrelevant because we have a tie. So, what else can we compare? Exactly, DX12 performance.

It could, but it won't. Fortunately most reviewers also...

Did anyone claim that? Or will your DX11 games run slower the day you play your first DX12 game?

Yeah, but that's not the topic. The topic is a tie between card A and B in DX11 and probably 10%...

You will see DX12 support very soon. Or do you own a graphics card for just 6 months or so? If you have two equally performing cards today, but one offers better DX12 performance, which one would you...

Corrected it for you. Wait and see what happens with DX12 / Vulkan. ;)

I think that's more like a fairy tale no one has ever proven with real numbers. AMD also has many close relationships....

Read more carefully. We talk about one Excavator module, not two. ;) From what I see one Excavator module of the FX-8800P can turbo to 3.4 GHz within 15W.

I'm not so sure that 4 Cat cores would be significantly faster than one Excavator module. FX-8800P is ~90% faster than A8-7410 in Geebench Multicore.

Looks more like 30-40% if you just look at the int/fp multicore scores. This could be indeed 35W power target with much better turbo utilization.

You are wrong. It's a half step forward and that's it. There is no step backward and there's nothing wrong with it. Nvidia did the same with GTX 680 -> GTX 770. Fiji is more like 1.5 steps forward....
