No, you continue to have no point. Just like your ARMv8 server wishful thinking.

But definitely doesn't agree with people who claim K12/Zen will be Cat like.

So, you say most parts of the...

Which point? You have no point. There are no leaks about Zen's core architecture. Period.

I don't need no excuses for anyone. What I said is true. Otherwise show us the millions of productive...

If we talk about the core architecture itself I don't care about the number of cores of any hypothetical processor design. And SMT is just wild speculation at the moment. We don't know if and in...

Really? What is leaked? I don't see any concrete details about the architecture.

AMD talked about Seattle and Skybridge just recently. Long story short, it needs time because migration to ARM...

The leaks are really suspicious and make not much sense to me. Just take a look at the X4 870K with 3.5/3.7 GHz and 95W TDP. Who needs that? There is already an X4 860K with 3.7/4.0 GHz and 95W TDP...

I think Excavator will have 1 MB L2 physically. Having half of the L2 cache unused makes absolutely no sense. Size and associativity always was implementation dependent on family 15h.

An i7-4790K also is no high end performance product and still more than 99% of the desktop users have. ;)

You probably mean more transistors on a smaller area due to 14nm. I would say that...

You are talking nonsense. AMD clearly said that K12 / Zen will be high performance cores. Their activities in the embedded and semi-custom market doesn't change anything.

6-8 single threaded cores (Cyclone like) at >3 GHz and 45-65W would be enough for me. If they implement any kind of MT I think it will be enhanced CMT (w/o VMT) instead of pure SMT (Intel like).

Even Bulldozer uses SMT. So, this doesn't say anything about Zen's MT abilities.

Btw, it was only one site that speculated about SMT. Other sites just referred to it. And so does Sweclockers.

That's nonsense. An FX-7500 is on par with i3-4100U worst case. Best case it can be significantly faster (>40%).

Not really. The impact of serial phases is actually quite small. If not then you have done something wrong with your software. A fast memory interface is more important for the GPU than overpowered...

Again, more IPC + more frequency. 15W Kaveri might be something like 1.8 GHz base clock. ~15% (?) more IPC + ~15% more frequency (2.1 vs 1.8 GHz) = ~30% more performance.
