Funny you should say that. The new MIPS "Prodigy" with SMT is a far better choice for high-perf, Linux-based Table OS. It has more OOOE headroom than the ARM and has inherently better instruction scaling (bit-wise).

There really is no need (yet) for its 64-bit feature but who knows? Good thing Android/Linux is not CPU-dependent like Desktop Windows.

Maybe someone should try this in qemu-ARM.
Ha, you make me want to try again working on qemu ARM... Anyone wants to offer me an iPad2?

Is HoMM III now free?

Oh, so that's why they are putting four cores in the Tegra! To be able to emulate a x86!

The requirements are minimal, it's all 2D and low res, so if emulating is possible, then indeed "someone" should try. H3 is not free, but I think H2 source code is available. There is also an effort to rewrite the whole H3 engine and to build on the Wake of Gods fan expansion, allowing additions to the game. Started 3 years ago, but still going: http://forum.vcmi.eu/portal.php

They need to have the 64 bit support, I mean come on, its been around for about 20 years with MIPS now! ref
