That was indeed to be expected. Why introduce a mayor revision of the
old Bulldozer core if the improved Piledriver core is already shipping....

Attached is AMD roadmap I found in the internet.
Abu Dhabi, Seoul and Delhi have piledriver core. Looks like AMD has moved forward the availability by one or two months.

I have a 8150 FX chip. I would buy a new amd chip if they offer me better performance (20% better ) and are able to cut at least a third of the power usage if not more. If not I will most likely sell my amd gear next year and go with whatever Intel has.

So you want performance per watt to increase by only 80% or perhaps a bit more?
Dude, you got low expectations! I want over 9000% better performance and only half the power draw, AT LEAST! That should totally be possible, especially for AMD, right?

I know its really crazy to want AMD to catch up to 2010/11 intel parts but hey its what I want.


I'm hoping the process is really to blame for bulldozers horrible power usage and that as the process gets more mature these problems are a thing of the past.
