The Rooster: ARM minibox with 3G Conectivity:

    Come and get it!

    A few questions:

1: What is the display and sound hardware like?

2: Can it run OpenRISC or SymbOS?

3: Why didn't they use ST-Ericsson's 2.5-3.0 Ghz ARM Chips?

The Marvell 88F6281 SoC with Sheeva embedded CPU technology, is a high-performance integrated controller. It integrates the Marvell Sheeva CPU core which is fully ARMv5TE-compliant with a 256KB L2 Cache.
Haha, basically an ARM9, a 10 year old microarchitecture. Essentially worthless.

    1) Probably non-existent at least externally.

    2) Probably can.

    3) Cost. Power. Availabilty. Suitability.

Worthless for what? Good luck putting a Power 7+ in that form factor and powering it with a small solar panel. That said, it would have 3-4 orders of magnitude more cycles to idle versus the few that this box has, but that probably isn't a high priority for purchasers. :P
