AMD today announced Emilio Ghilardi, Senior Vice President and Chief Sales Officer, has left the company. As is required by law, AMD filed one of the briefest 8-K statements in recent memory, then put out a press release saying there was no immediate replacement. Rory Read will stand in for Mr. Ghilardi until they find a replacement. While SemiAccurate has no knowledge about the backstory here, we have high hopes that the new CSO will be a certain internal candidate that could do a lot of good in the role.S|A
