One of the big questions coming out of AMD’s Financial Analyst Day involved the Siena CPU. SemiAccurate speculated a bit about what this new line is, and now we can tell you a lot more.
Siena is the new ‘telco’ focused Epyc line that was shown off without much explanation at FAD 2022. We took an educated stab at what we thought it would be and now we can tell you some of what we found out since then. The one question SemiAccurate can’t answer is what makes this a telco part vs a normal Genoa/Bergamo with different fuses and clocks. Anyway, on with some of the show.
