EUV closer to commercialization

Speed is still a major problem, but ASML is getting closer…

Extreme Ultraviolet lithography was originally expected to be implemented at the 22nm node, which is where Intel’s is at the moment, but much points to the fact that it will not be ready for another couple of generations even though lithography supplier ASML is hopeful.

RRAM to take on flash at 11nm

For a couple of more generation we will have to contend with good old flash, but then the game changes.

The current generation of flash memory is manufactured on 19/20nm technology and according to IMEC shrinking of this technology combined with stacking is likely to make it possible to manufacture for a couple of more generations all the way down to 11nm.
